Erma Louise Caver, 95, of Moss Point, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Pascagoula, MS. Erma was born on November 11, 1920 in Nicholson, MS to the late Elliott and Loula Mitchell. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point. She had a passion for flowers and always enjoyed working in her gardens. She also enjoyed making ceramics and jewelry and she would donate her pieces to the American Cancer Society.

In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Caver Sr.; sisters, Eunice Speed and Dot Bryant; brother, Jay Hugh Mitchell; and grandsons, John Thomas Caver Jr. and James Elliott Caver Jr.

She is survived by her children, William W. (Suzanne) Caver Jr., Tommy Caver, Barbara Caver, Sue (Jimmy) Sheppard, and Jim (Melani) Caver; brother, John Paul (Peggy) Mitchell; along with eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Moss Point beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Michael Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens.
