Obituaries » Gwendolyn Randall

Gwendolyn Louise Randall was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, the second of eleven children, on February 4, 1941 to Leo and Ellen Quintal. She passed away at her daughter’s home on March 25, 2017 after a battle with lung disease.

As a young child, Gwen moved to San Francisco with her family. The rest of her childhood was spent in Sacramento, California. On April 2, 1960, Gwen was introduced to her future husband, Olly Randall, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy in San Diego. While raising their three daughters, Gwen and Olly lived in California, Texas and Mississippi, and were married for over 50 wonderful years.

Gwen loved spending time with her family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”

Gwen is heralded in death by her parents, her husband, Olly Randall, her young children Mitchell James and Bridgett Lenee, and her four siblings, Allen Quintal, Linda McVeay, Brian Quintal, and Dawn Quintal. Gwen is survived by her daughters, Terri Hodges of El Dorado, AR, Kellie Uhlman and her husband Bill of Lucedale, MS, and Kris Weiss and her husband John of The Woodlands, TX, grandchildren Ahna Edington, Erin Bennett, Darrah Lowe, Kristen Uhlman, Lauren Uhlman, Mitch Weiss and Matthew Weiss, as well as, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Surviving siblings are Kenneth Quintal, Dean Quintal, Gail Stevens, Jeannie Gehrke, Elise Dayton, and Sandra Norman.

Gwen will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at MachPelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS.
