Joseph Lee “Jody” White, 56, of Three Rivers, MS passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 13, 1960 in Tupelo, MS. He was known by many as Paw Paw. He had a passion for four wheeler riding, hunting and fishing, but most of all his grandchildren.

Jody was preceded in death by his father, Rayford Ryals, grandparents, Cecil and Mary White, Ozell Robbins, and Calvin Bethany and step-son, Christopher Byrd.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie White; children April (Donnie) Finch and Jessie (Olivia) Goff; grandchildren, Taylor Barfield, Braden Williams, Paisley Finch and Jacee Finch; mother, Frances Ryals; siblings, David (Malia) White, Brenda (Bryan) Hilliard, and Cindy (Steve) Pierce; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Caswell Springs United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. H.W. Parker and Rev. Kevin Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Jeff McLeod, Vinson Adkinson, Vince Scharnhorst, Ian Goff, Jeffrey Hamilton, and Jack Hamilton serving as pallbearers. Taylor Barfield and Braden Williams will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Rinker and nurse Trudy and to the staff of Hospice of Light, especially his nurse Rhonda for their loving care of Jody.
