To the family of Ms. Wendy McKinney: I would like to express my condolences to you for the loss of your wife, mother, sister and grandmother. When someone you love dies, the pain and grief can seem unbearable. But Jehovah God's Word, the Bible, can provide much comfort for you during this time. Jesus promised at John 5:28, that those who have died, and are in Jehovah's memory, will be resurrected back to life right here on earth. What joy you will feel when you are reunited with Ms. McKinney in the near future. Once again, I express my deepest sympathy.

Although I did not know Wendy, I would like to say to the family that you have been in my prayers: that you have peace beyond all understanding, cry out to God if you give your pain to him. I pray that God's love and peace surround you like a warm blanket or a cold winter's day. No that Wendy is in heaven, and taken too soon from us, God has a plan that we do not understand, but it is for our good. Peace to you all.

As your lovely Wendy is laid to rest today please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Wendy and I met our freshman year of high school at McNairy Cental and made many wonderful memories during our four years there. We last saw each other at our 20 year reunion and only reconnected via Facebook 5 years ago yesterday. During the last few years we shared about our lives, prayers and encouragements. I'm blessed beyond measure to have shared her friendship along with so many others. Without a doubt she dearly loved John, your children and grands. She was so proud of you all. Go rest high on the mountain sweet, precious Wendy until we meet again in heaven.

John, I remember the first day Kelly and I met you and Wendy. Thru the years, we would see each other at school functions and other events. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She always had a kind word and smile. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Donna

So many prayers and hugs for you at this time. I first met Wendy in ninth grade. We were in band together and sat side by side during concert season. She was the lone piccolo player and I was the lone oboe player during that part of band season. We shared other classes together but band was always the most special. More recently I reached out to her with some information I had come across about the Latvian community in Senatobia, MS in the late forties. She said she might make a road trip to Senatobia and I would have loved the opportunity to see her again. Our last conversation was at the end of this past January when she helped me flesh out a character for a cozy mystery book that was released in April. She was a bright light here on Earth and I know she is shining brightest among the angels now.

I met Wendy and John through my niece, Jessica Gibson. She had two children, Caden and Mary by their son. In fact, Mary looks so much like Gigi! I love Wendy and John. They are the nicest and most generous couple I know. My heart goes out to the family John and his family. I will truly miss Wendy and her contributions and her beautiful smile. God Bless you John and the family. Don\\\\\\\'t give up on your friends! You have many. Love to Wendy.

Mr. John and family, I am praying for comfort for you all today and in the days to come. Mrs. Wendy was an amazing lady. If I know one thing for certain she loved her family and she showed it. When I think of the person Mrs. Wendy was I think of the saying 'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain', Mrs. Wendy was one that just did it, if she said she was going to do it she did. She has left a pretty amazing legacy. She has truly touched the lives of so many and helped many and I am so proud to have known her. I love you all, Tracey

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 This scripture sums up how my family felt when we buried both of my brothers. There is such strength in it. I pray you feel the arms of God holding you tight each and every day. Prayers of peace, love, and perseverance for all of you!

Wendy was such an exttordinary lady. Always had a smile on her face, friendly to everyone, and excelled in everything she did. Talented and so intellegent, she had the world in her hands and left her mark in many areas. I had not seen Wendy since our 20th class reunion, but talked to her occasionally on facebook. I am so heartbroken to learn of her passing, but I will always cherish the years I knew her. Prayers for the family. She will surely be missed.

Wendy, the whole package. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved with her whole heart. That infectious smile brought joy to everyone that knew her. I can hear her laughing now. From the moment we met in Jr. High band she was my friend. I am a better person for knowing her. Intelligent didn't begin to describe her, she was not only smart but focused and determined to be the best, and that she was. She was also humble and caring and at the same time a strong force. She knew where her strength came from and we often shared prayer requests. She spoke frequently of her family and I know how much she loved them. I am blessed to have been called her friend and there is a place in my heart that she will always hold. My prayers of comfort and peace go up daily for the family of my dear friend. God Bless ...love you.
